  1. Well seeing as they would have been charged.... running away was probably a good idea. Pretty funny if you ask me, although they do deserve a fine
  2. you wouldnt happen to have an extra pair of underwear would you ?
  3. mono or powerpro is fine, although you will feel the bite easier on braid thats for sure. Willow Beach and Snake Island are good locations (58-65 fow) drive around and look for the arcs on your graph, then drop anchor and start jigging
  4. There are books and magazines you can buy with great tips for shoreline fishing, most piers are a good place to start (assuming fishing is permitted)
  5. It's fine to start off with, but dont expect quality or a long "life expectancy," especially if it is being used frequently 1-5 days per year - $20 5-10 days per year - 30-40 bucks 10-20 days per year - 40-80 bucks 20-50 days per year- 80-200 bucks 50 days per year - 200 bucks I figure thats a good starting point, personally I fish over 100 days a year, and it costs me more than 10 bucks in line for each spool (which I re-spool several times per season)
  6. I work full time 5-2 at BPS, and I cant imagine a customer waiting 10 minutes for service. Not on my shift at least, if someone is busy, they are usually right with you when they are done with the first guy. Not to say it didnt happen, just that 10 minutes seems like a stretch. We get so much new stock in, its hard for even the full timers to keep track of everything, and most of the reels dont come in a left hand retreive, so maybe the employee was confused. Regardless, if you have a problem, talk to the manager.
  7. Kelli and I got out today for a couple hours, started a bit too shallow in 45 feet and kept getting perch Moved out to 58 feet and nailed my first whitie of the softwater season. Guys beside us must have landed 20 before we landed another, I had two spoons with me and thats it, they werent working too well. We moved to 64 feet, and started dropshotting GULP ALIVE minnows instead of jigging spoons, caught 8 more in about 30 mins. nothing big though, glad for Kelli to get a couple. Water was still only 48-49 degrees.
  8. nice job. i guess there are some still kickin around
  9. Lake of Bays ?
  10. I've done well from shore by the dam, which is accessable
  11. Ice Fishing Opener Steelies (not opener, but first time out this year) First one of 08 Pike Opener
  12. small spoons ... tiny Mr. Champ
  13. Bass and Trout. Thats pretty much it. Bass are closed until the 4th Saturday in June, trout there are best fished from shore anyways
  14. Agreed. Great Rods! Browning Medallions are also a great quality rod, I have a few of them, and at 69.99 a piece. You cant beat it
  15. Agreed. I was thinking of quoting that one too
  16. It would really be a shame to lose a member over a comment like that. It was not made to offend anyone. As of late, there has been lots of news stories about fishing and racism, and people being pushed in. They are being pushed in because they dont abide by the rules, but seeing as some of them were not white, it was deemed to be racist. My sole purpose was that all should abide by the rules, and all should be treated equally, push em all in if the dont abide by the rules, they are there for a reason. That's all I have on the subject, take it or leave it. Steve
  17. Good combo. I work at BPS so look for me if you come in to purchase it. I work til 2pm on weekdays.
  18. NWB you sir, are a fool. an absolute fool
  19. but if he was to pushed in, it would be racism. It has nothing to do with race, know the regs, abide by the regs, and there will be no problems
  20. steering cable is seized up by the sounds of it
  21. She was huge anyways! I hear ya though! We saw a big female up shallow with three males right on her, kinda late for that isnt it? Of course, she had no interest in our lures an yways
