  6. Pike Tournament on Lake Couchiching on Saturday. $50 per team, all are welcome. PM me for details
  7. yeah you definitely shouldnt keep a walleye in your tank.
  8. makes me sick. What ever happened to a one on one throwdown? I am not a very confrontational person, but I have seen my share of scraps, mostly stemming from multiple people beating up on one friend. Just ridiculous. Kids these days (I never thought I would be saying that ... I used to shake my head when my dad said it)
  9. I grew up in Barrie/Innisfil, and I have only caught 3. I'd say they are hardly worth targetting, but Cook's Bay and Beaverton would be your best bets
  10. with cold water temps, i will often pause a jerkbait for up to 30 seconds, a 10 second pause is not that big of a stretch
  11. lymphosarcoma is the reddish "wounds" very common during spawning season
  12. when they're lazy like that, slow the retrieve, going to a "faster" bait like a spinnerbait may draw a reaction bite, but you're best bet is to just slow the retrieve on the jerkbait.
  13. im gonna have to pimp slap you soon
  14. I have more problems with the perch in Couch than in Simcoe. They are safe to eat if they are cooked. I just flick em out first, but its not necessary
  15. awesome! What lake were you on? PM me if you want to. I'd like to take my dad out tomorrow and dont know much about crappie. I live in Lindsay and was thinking Scugog or Cameron
  16. Depends on the number of teams. I was thinking 70/20/10 percent until we get 10+ teams then we'll see
  17. Hey everyone, I posted this a few weeks ago, but now this is just a reminder. May 10th I am holding a "for fun" pike tournament on Lake Couchiching. Lake Simcoe is open to fish, but the launch is at the Town Docks (Couchiching Beach PArk) in Orillia. Tournament hours are 7:00am - 3:00pm Cost is $50 per team, plus an additional $10 for big fish, although big fish is optional It is a 3 fish limit, going by total length rather than total weight. Please be there no later than 6:30am to register, as I will be fishing the tournament and will be blasting off with the rest of you. No live bait. All fish must be angled legally. If you are interested, please PM me for your blast off position.
  18. Man, I wish I got ot today
  19. Pike opened May 1st on G-Bay. Try Hogg Bay in Midland.
  20. Note: 13 of the 20 perch I kept had little white worms in the flesh. Not for me thank you, too bad, I hate wasting fish.
