  1. atta boy! Friday cant come soon enough.
  2. there are trout and walleye, as there are in many lakes. What species are yu wanting to catch? I can certainly get you started
  3. just follow the marker buoys and you'll be fine. the pike fishing has been awesome, walleye fishing is tough, but there are some fish to be had.
  4. I work for BPS but there's really nothing we can do about it. Our distribution centre in Springfield, MO decides what we get and when we get it. It's a busy time of year right now, doing the best we can.
  5. beauty fish man!
  6. i forgot to add, the cut required 11 stitches... 4 inside and 7 outside
  7. nice. I've never seen an eye like that outta GPool
  8. On May 30th, my brother Mike Rowbotham fought his 6th professional MMA bout. He took on the co-owner of Hayabusa Fightwear, and olympic alternate (judo) Luke Harris. Luke is a tough fighter from Edmonton, and a purple belt in BJJ under Fabio Holanda, his credentials are undeniable. We got the call 3 weeks ago for this fight, and with Mike being just 19 years old, its a win/win for him. The fight gets bloody! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ef09Y8l9dVc
  9. the smaller one is 99.99 CDN, the larger one is 139.99 CDN ... unfortunately, its not platinum plated
  10. what he said
  11. I'd hardly call those fins rotted, they're beat up and likely from the spawn, smallmouth spawn in water between 52-58 degrees, and Ahmic Lake should be between 58-62 right now. The fish should be on their beds now, some should be done their spawn. That fish is otherwise healthy looking, the blotching wouldnt be causing it any harm. The blotching is often caused by skin pigment hormones that are associated with stress ie. catch and release, livewell holding, spawn, but is not necessarily relevant to the fish's current state of health as the markings will stay for life. I hope this helps. Ahmic Lake seems to be especially bad for it, I've caught many smallies with blotching (although none as crazy as this one) I've caught the same fish off the same spot on two different years. Same mushroom shaped blotch on his cheek
  12. I've been having my best season yet all within 1.5 hrs of Barrie
  13. if you're heading there for fun, you may want to choose a different location. There is a big pike tournament there this weekend. So it will either be very busy, or the fish will have taken a pounding by the time you get there. If you do decide to go. Fish 3-7 feet of water around any weeds you can find. Spinnerbait and jerkbaits will take lots of fish.
  14. I'm jealous! Cant wait for the UFC tonight, my bro's in Vegas watching it from the 3rd row, I'm jealous of him too. Jealousy is taking me over
  15. For those wondering about the Mercer's Magic, only a limited quantity were made as a promotion for his half hour show. They no longer make that colour.
  16. dude thats a PIG in your av
  17. Had the day off so my girlfriend and I headed up to Lake Muskoka for some big pike! After landing 4 pike in the 20-26 inch range, we opted to change our gameplan. We started fishing a little different structure and we found the fish big time. Now, finding fish, and getting them to bite is an entirely different game. I had a bunch of giants follow and not commit to biting. I remembered at about 3pm that there is a big tourney on Muskoka tomorrow, unfortunately, I cant fish it. hope I didnt burn anyones water. My fish wouldnt help anyways, but I know where some pigs are lurking! Lots of OOS smallies today, I couldnt believe the aggression. I caught 5 smallies on an 8 inch swimbait!! Best of luck to those out tomorrow, hope you can catch em!!! Ah well, beats sittin at home P.S. The lip grips were a joke
  18. jealous wouldnt properly describe my feelings
  19. awesome weekend, great fish!
  20. awesome weekend, great fish!
  21. I've been to the campground there many a time, and my buddy has a trailer on the property as well. It's a beautiful area. Also, cast from shore if you can, there are some nice pike to be had and a ton of bass if you'll be there after opener. Nice crappie right in the harbour there too
  22. I disagree with that, although a dropshot is probably not your best bet either based on the rigging method
  23. I used to really struggle on Sparrow, although the past 4 or 5 years have been dynamite for me. It's a great lake, and I think its all about movements and timing. This time of year, you should be fishing very shallow water for pike and walleye can be found in 4-15 feet of water in whatever weeds you can find.
  24. Got out again today with my dad. The front definitely messed the fish up a little bit. I managed one pike around 38 inches, and broke off a fish in the low 40's, she ate my jerkbait past the 12 inch leader.
