  5. WOW, Always great to hear from you SuperDad.. Looks like you hit the gold mine. What a sheepshead !!!!!! Almost as big as a Salmon.
  6. What was the web sight again, I can't seem to see it at the top advertisement bar. Unfortuantly, I only measure to check for slot or size limit, use to be weight only. Guess that means I have not caught anything like MrEH, WOW nice fish BTW. Oh well,
  7. Sorry to hear about this, your post was very touching with your passion for life, All our thoughts are with you.
  8. I tried the Vanish as a main line was not impressed. I now use it as leader line and it works great. No need to toss it if your not happy.

  12. LOL, I had fishing put into the marrige contract. I had been fishing since I was 5, my wife gets sea sick at red lobester so she hates it. Compromise one day family one day fishing After our first kid, I went every 2 weeks one day and have stuck roughly to that schedule roughly ever since. When our second was under negotiation I said, I still need to have my decompress time.. took a couple months of thinking but she agreed. So far so good,. now the next issue will be when all the kids come fishing with me that could be considered a family day
  13. A licence for her is much cheaper I always go through this question each year, my wife tells me she wont be fishing etc, catching rays etc. not too waste my money.. I get her one anyway. With kids on board there is always the time you are busy and she is helping a kid fish. Yea I know but explaining that to the co is not worth the hassel
  14. Mine may be a little too light but for walleye I use 14lb fluro leader on my braid line. works well for anything else 55lb fluro. Make your own, cheaper in the long run
  15. We were only in the Ontario waters, no too far out of the main drag. Each day we just followed the pack of boats., 13' of water was the key in the heat. We just putted along with worms and bang, There were a couple times you could not cast without the perchie stripping you clean then it would suddenly stop as something bigger moved it thats one of the times I hooked into my pike. No muskie caught that I could see boy there were there if you want more specifics pm me can't give all the lurkers the goods
  16. Well it was the annual Work Boys weekend trip for some great fishing and jokes... Every year we venture out on Lake St Clair for some fishing the main reason is when you get a fish you really never know what it is until it hits the surface. Talk about hot! And no it was not the fishing, We arrived the first day to "ZERO" wind and super heat. Not the best conditions but we managed a few perch, a walleye and a Sheepshead. From Friday to Sunday we would get on the water by 7am to a little breeze and good fishing. By 10am the wind died as did the fishing. We always stayed out for a couple of hours but the bites were far and few between. Then we jumped in the 80F water to cool off. Lots of perch, bass, pike and rock bass. At 5pm each day the wind kicked up as the storms blew around but never provided rain, Only got out one night for 2 hours before we got blown off the water One kicker of the trip is some "JERK"!!!!!! Backed into my trailer while we were fishing and smashed my rear light, hit it hard enough to bend the steel completely around we tried to bend it back by hand but looks like it needs heat and a sledge hammer. No note, no sorry! No message at the office check in. Ahhh next trip is LakeAir !!! So lots of time to fix it.
  17. Wow, love the pics. Love the river pics, bet it was hard not too see about wetting a line ..

Here is the pic of one of the fish So we ended up 1 pound shaker ummmm on the BBQ 10 pound 13 pound 8 pound and the biggeest of the year so far 17lb plus my 35lb that got away Not bad for the first time on lake 'O' thanks to all who gave me a little heads up at depth and colour... Gave us the opening we needed LEXX

  21. Couple things I would be worried about The heat from the coffee on a plastic container ~ outch The heat loss from a plastic container ~ burrrrr Cleaning out the coffe grounds Once you use it for coffee anything else you put in there will taste like coffee Bodems have been around for a long while, to quote a song GOT TOO KEEP THEM SEPARATED
  22. I am voting Members only just viewing all pictures. less lurkers and once people take the plunge they may start posting Better Members list for advertising rates too pay for the board Not that it should make a difference but less bandwith use for none members
