  1. Went to Go Home lake on 27 September looking to catch smallmouth and largemouth bass. Though I caught smallies they were all small a pound or less. Decided to fish for largies and I lucked into a few nice ones. I did catch one really nice one that weighed 5.2 pounds.

  3. Hi all, we’ve been enjoying a late summer here in NW Ontario, great time of year for getting a limit of grouse on your way to a lake you have all to yourself except the company you bring. Got out last weekend on Lac Seul with some friends from Wisconsin, fish were hungry and the weather was amazing, good times!

  5. Just got back from Anjigaming (AirDale) and we had a great time!! We drove straight through the day on Friday and stayed with Jenn and Martin at their lodge at Hawk Junction and after an amazing breaky at the lodge we drive to the air base at Wawa for our 9AM departure. Flight in was smooth and we were unpacked and on the water by noon. We were the first group on this lake in 2 years (it was closed for most of the pandemic) so we were excited about getting out on the lake. The boats were 14' Naden's with 8hp Merc 4 strokes and ran fine. Fishing was very good once we got a good lay of the land and by the end of the week we landed close to 200 fish with the largest pike in the 42-44" range and the largest Walleye was in the 24" range. We had a couple of fish fry's for lunch and only had rain blow through a couple of times in the week but the bugs were thick when the wind died down in the evening. The cabin has a solar array and a sat router that allowed us to get WiFi so we could text and send pics of the trip. The week went by quickly and I am already looking forward to next years trip!

  6. Caught this in Lake Kasshabog. Anyone confirm it's a tiger Muskie?

  7. Agreed it looks to be a pure breed musky. The tigers have often lots of spots often, they are beautiful fish. Shown a couple of nice tigers. BTW they fight like devils. I've thought they outfight fight the pike or musky pound for pound.

  8. That's a dandy LMBBass!! This old fatty was just over 6 pounds. Often on the older ones the fins start to wear from fanning so many eggs

  9. Came across this old relic and manuals yesterday on the internet for free, I couldn't resist it. Thought it would be fun to tinker around with and get it running. I hazard to guess how many decades it's been since it ran. The old Gal, in her 80's I expect, said her late husband had an outboard repair shop in Ottawa. They decided to move to Calgary and he was so fond of this little motor he brought it out with them. I wish it was in better condition but the price was right. The Evinrude manual is over two inches thick. 1958 Gale Buccaneer 3, almost as old as I am and just like me, not much to look at Hahaha.
