Smitty, I double checked this. Apparently it’s totally inaccurate and the authors words have been selectively quoted (or misquoted) to make windmills look less effective than they actually are. It’s based on the premise that windmills are placed in poor locations where in reality they’d most likely never be built. They are ugly though, I’ll give you that. If you look at Homer-Dixon.com the supposed author suggests the poster is fraudulent and that he didn’t write that.

Yeah the bottom end torque that electrics have is very impressive. It's the longevity of the battery that concerns me? It would be like herring your motor running out of gas. It's easy and cost effective to have a second fuel tank. At this point in time you can't say that about an extra battery. Dan..
