The famous Sutton River and its speckled trout fishing!!! Writing stories online now for more than 15 years, this is the one which should have been the first. Learning of this remote, northern Ontario river back in 2000 while living in nearby Attawapiskat, since then it has been the longest standing fishing trip on my bucketlist. Flying in August to our starting point at Hawley Lake, my good friend Mike and I camped and paddled our way out along the Sutton to Polar Bear Provincial Park and finally, Hudson Bay. An experience completely out of this world, for 130 kilometers over 12 days, hundreds and hundreds of speckled trout were caught on lures and flies. Fishing the Sutton is truly unimaginable, just a very special waterway choked with trout for it’s entire length. For those that can't get their gas powered equipment to run in the spring, it's probably due to forgetfulness or being an idle buzzard. Clean lawnmowers, oil change and drain carbs or fill with treated gas, whichever your poison and method. That goes for chainsaws, generators, weed wackers and least but not last, pressure washers. Leave it outside without being drained or serviced with pump antifreeze, sure as sherlock, the pump will split. Don't neglect the toys that make life easy for you.

I have seen the results of not fogging an engine. Keep in mind that 2 strokes are lubricated through the intake port, through the lower crankcase, either by oil injection or oil mixed with the fuel. This oil may not stay in place throughout the storage time and any moisture that is inside the crankcase may allow rust to develop on needle bearings, crankshaft surfaces and cylinder walls. Fogging oil is designed to stick to these surfaces and protect them. Yes, you may not notice the rust pits over a season or two, but eventually they can cause serious deterioration. Shooting oil into cylinders can help rust formation above the top of the piston, but it does nothing to the moving parts below. 4 strokes are different as the lubrication is pumped from an oil pump sump to critical moving parts below the piston and not so apt to corrosion. But some protection above the piston and cylinder walls is still a good storage plan. I can't afford to take a chance on not doing it, engines are far to expensive for me to replace. My 2000 Evinrude Etec has been flawless since new.

I also noticed how the bubbles were breaking off the cables, that, and steering the boat like a drunken sailor ? put more fish in the box.
