we hide carp spots the same reasons why bass/musky/walleye/trout anglers hide their spot ... you might not like carp and you don't care but out of all the carp anglers there are unethical ones and we care

Victor, remember to use protection...

You know...An unhooking mat :thumbsup_anim:

Yeah it's from years of bruising caused by rank amateur anglers who consitently drop them on the ground...even when kneeling!!!

When shorefishing, I always hold the fish while kneeling - easier to take a picture of yourself that way.

In a boat, I try and hold the fish over the water.

In either case, i figure is isnt good to hold the fish too high incase you loose grip.

If you want to photo with a 10lb+ fish, and you can't hold the gill plate like you would with pike or muskie, it's only nature to kneel down for a photo. I guess if carp are the size of bass then we wouldn't have to.

Here's another way to hold them

Mike, that's funny, really really funny. Would've been much better if you photoshopped Victor's head onto that guy. ;-)

Victor, if you do that with a big carp, I will give you two nash leads.
