Headed out after night shift with a friend from work and his uncle ... went out aprox 5 miles from Port Maitland ... waves were a little crazy but we decided to give it a go anyways .. managed a nice 7.5 lbr (29" for team 1) ... waves got up to 4 feet and after all the lines tangled called it a day ... marking tons of baitfish on bottom ... while the fish was in the well it spit up 5 large minnows ... just wish mother nature would have cooperated

Too bad the water was rough.

At least you gave it a shot and were

rewarded for your efforts.

Keep at it. If you fish, they will come.

Nice catch! :thumbsup_anim:

The big lakes can be dangerous. There has been many times I have gone to Pt. Mait. and turned back because of the conditions. Be careful and don't stray out there when it's blowing. Even if it isn't bad when setting out you really have to keep watch over both shoulders, it can change so fast. You probably made a wise choice when you called it a day.
