glen Posted Sunday at 09:03 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:03 PM Trying to plan a trip between Sudbury to sault st Marie and north a few hours. May1 -July 1. Sometime. this trip I don’t want to travel more then 6-7hrs from Barrie. bring my own boat and probably camp. Most of the lakes are pretty small. Maybe the north channel would be better? The pickerel limit isn’t very good on the small lakes. Or do I just go to Erie. maybe Nipissing is better for catching something. any thoughts? use pm if it’s smaller lakes you’re talking about. Thanks.
CrowMan Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM Whalesback Channel on the North Channel of Lake Huron (mouth of the Spanish River) is some of the best Walleye fishing in Ontario. Excellent Bass and Pike too...also shots at Musky. Camp at : SPANISH RIVER RESORT AND CAMPGROUND - Ontario's best walleye fishing resort with cottages, camp sites and family campground in Spanish Ontario. https://share.google/2JAVSY46zek3PqbLn 2
Fisherman Posted Tuesday at 05:41 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:41 PM If you can't catch a walleye at Spanish, you're probably a vegan, lol. There has been the odd day where it was hard fishing but 90% of the time they jump in the boat for you. The above mentioned campground is good. About a 1 minute drive into town for basic necessities you might forget. 1
