riverwader Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 After multiple recommendations we’re going to Memquisit Lodge on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing on August 24. We’ll be targeting musky, and doing some bass and walleye fishing. Any tips on areas to focus on and techniques would be very appreciated. It looks like a lot of water to cover in four days. Thanks
lew Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 You'll really enjoy your stay at Memquisit, it's a great place with great owners. I always had my best luck with muskies casting large spinnerbaits around cabbage beds in around 8' of water. Others will have their own opinions but this is just what worked well for me over the years on the West Arm. Here's a couple examples if you find the right spots.
Whopper Posted July 23 Report Posted July 23 Can't add anything about the muskies, Lew had them dailed in. Walleyes like bottom bouncers and crawler harnesses Along the weed lines. Bass shallow in rock with weeds they like white spinner baits. You don't have to go far from where you are staying for any of the species you've ask about. Good luck
riverwader Posted July 24 Author Report Posted July 24 Thanks guys. Appreciate the advice. I assume the walleye are fairly deep this time of year. Maybe start looking for weed lines in 15 to 25 feet?
