Guide to Locating Steelhead in the Niagara River (Video)

Hi all,

Just a quick video from a recent trip to the Lower Niagara River where I try and quickly describe how to locate good drifts that typically hold Steelhead. Enjoy and subscribe!

Very good Popofish. It brings me back 40 years when I could walk back up those hills. The only thing I caught was Small mouth Bass.

River is way up right now.   BB'ing is your only option in a lot of cases.

That footage was shot this week, it was fine when I was there. Did it go up this weekend or something?

You didn't realize the water was way up?

I would say that in the mornings it was a little above normal. It goes go up in the afternoon though. It's definitely fishable though. You can tell from the video where it was, it wasn't bad at all.

I guess the good thing about that river is that if you don't like the conditions, they don't take long to change
