16 years ago I was working New Years eve and everyone was hanging around the computers waiting for the smoke genie to appear at the stroke of midnight. What a letdown.

Sept 1969, first year at university, bought a electric tea kettle there and flip flop manual toaster there for my dorm room, had to have toast and coffee in the morning or late night studying. On the way home you could stop at the Brunny for a beer or 2 , it's gone now too.

What about Lindys steak house right around the corner from the Chelsea hotel, used to go there all the time when Bell sent me to Toronto on course.
