iFish4real Posted March 5, 2016 Report Posted March 5, 2016 Anybody there right now? What depth you target walleye at? Much appreciated!
Nipfisher Posted March 6, 2016 Report Posted March 6, 2016 My hut is at 20 FOW. Not steady action but lots of bites at prime times.
Rod Caster Posted March 7, 2016 Report Posted March 7, 2016 I recommend fishing from 0 to 1 foot. Just be careful not to drive your auger blades into the sand
irishfield Posted March 9, 2016 Report Posted March 9, 2016 So much water on the ice and huts being pulled off. Take your hipwaders and spikes!
porkpie Posted March 10, 2016 Report Posted March 10, 2016 I recommend fishing from 0 to 1 foot. Just be careful not to drive your auger blades into the sand Laugh it up, I did this exact thing on callender bay once many years ago with a brand new gas auger I was eager to test. I had no idea it was so shallow that far from the point I walked on. Ice was frozen clear to the bottom. Turned around and went in to a machine shop to have blades sharpened. Auger cut great for the first 20 or so inches lol.
