manitoubass2 Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 I hope jason christie comes in with a 20lb bag today
OhioFisherman Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Posted July 31, 2015 http://www.bassmaster.com/tournaments/basstrakk A lot of zeros in the fish count today, yesterday that didn't seem an issue? Never been there, I can imagine that wind and current could change a pattern in a hurry?
manitoubass2 Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 Oh for sure! Did you see the pics of the conditions? Looks like a tough day on the water to me!!!
OhioFisherman Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Posted July 31, 2015 Didn't see pictures of the water, but wind and the current have been an issue both days. Seems like some guys have been feeding smallies to musky? LOL
misfish Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 Love this comment. I dont know how many fish large mouth here, but man thier stupid fish up here. I missed the same one 3 times and still got him on the forth try.LOL
OhioFisherman Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Posted July 31, 2015 All the southern gentlemen that love the weather? That might change if they spent a winter there? LOL
misfish Posted July 31, 2015 Report Posted July 31, 2015 All the southern gentlemen that love the weather? That might change if they spent a winter there? LOL We can convert them. They will relish what they have sooooooooooooo much more.
OhioFisherman Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Posted July 31, 2015 LOL Brian, I have been to the deep south once in my life, the Tampa Florida area in August, that was a mistake, way too hot and muggy for me, I thought I was in a jungle. I am sure it's probably a lot better in the winter though compared to here. Give me a Canadian summer any day!

The only sweat is when im walking out to the fishing hole. It goes away fast once I get all set up and sitting down enjoying a cup of hot coffee watching the fish screen.. LOL
OhioFisherman Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 Looks like 20# bags will be in short supply again today. Some of the guys I watched were fishing a lot shallower than I would have expected.

OhioFisherman Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 Brian, I watched a couple of hours of the live feed, the two guys they were focused on were definitely smallie fishing. A lot of follows but not many bites between 12:00 and 2PM or so. I think both were a long way from the ramp, an hour or so? No clue, that would sort of be an entirely new deal for me fishing in that type of constant current, I think someone mentioned it was 5mph? Lake Erie and most lakes here can get a bit windy, but we don't have anything with a constant current like that. Even one of our area rivers wasn't bad unless there was a heavy rain, but it is nothing like that river. I have seen the Niagara from Ft.Erie to the Falls, I can picture that being challenging also to fish.
misfish Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 LETSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GET READY TO WEIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH IN.
OhioFisherman Posted August 1, 2015 Author Report Posted August 1, 2015 Ike with a 5.11 smallie, that's more like it.
misfish Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 There is the large mouth bag 16.7 Super bag for Ike
misfish Posted August 1, 2015 Report Posted August 1, 2015 I realy like when I see guys showing a mix bag. They can do both if need be. Dont get stuck on one fish.
