Caterpillar ?? Anyone know ???

Found this little guy by one of my bird feeders I have never seen anything like this ??? Does anyone know what kind it is ??? I let him go on a tree,but I thought a small trout in a stream would just love him for a snack !!!! Lol.... Thanks just curious9DB28069-89C6-4D72-A954-463BA746D396-148

Was thinking the same thing. Cool looking. Today you never know what we have around here.

 

I even seen a red/orange grass hopper. Went in grabbed the camera,when I returned,it was long gone.

If I recall correctly, all caterpillars with any sort of fuzz are moths, but there are some moth caterpillars without any fuzz, and if it's a butterfly caterpillar then it will not have fuzz. That leaves a grey area in the smooth-skinned group, but that one would definitely be a moth, in this case the white-marked tussock moth as Mark said. And yes, it's native.

Same thing happens to me everytime i see Big Foot
