Dave Bailey Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Nice stuff! I'm guessing the blue one is an indigo bunting. The last four look similar to a female rose breasted grosbeak, but it I'm pretty sure isn't. My mind is going.
Joey Posted July 15, 2013 Author Report Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) Yes, indigo bunting, and a very hard bird to find and photograph. I've been looking for them ever since I saw one a week ago and confirmed what it was. They really like to hide in the trees so even on sunny days, I'm finding I'm having a hard time with my settings due to the shade of the trees and branches in the way. I think the one with the grasshopper is a sparrow if I'm not mistaken. Edited July 15, 2013 by Joey
Dave Bailey Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Beak looks too big for a sparrow, but it's late and I've been into the wine.
Rodbender Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Nice Pics I've yet to find a Indigo Bunting
