hotsky Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 Looking for a place to go fishing on Tue, havent been to the Grand river in 2 months (and no luck last couple of times I was there). I'd be fishing around Caledonia most likely. Anyone been there lately? Worth going or should I go elsewhere?
pics Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 The water will still be high and muddy..... http://www.grandriver.ca/index/document.cfm?Sec=2&Sub1=6&Sub2=4
pylon Posted January 15, 2013 Report Posted January 15, 2013 I drive across hwy 8 and the 401 at Kitchener. Ice is gone water looks higher than normal
Rich Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Before the thaw brought it into turbulent chocolate milk... I fished around the ice booms as best I could through the brantford stretch.. notta. I have definitely had good winter days there though. I'd wait til it settles.
hotsky Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 (edited) I went to the Harbour instead, verry murky water no visability. Fished by the Desjardines canal and Pier 4 and no luck. Met a guy there he said he tried LaSale earlier today and got skuncked. Edited January 16, 2013 by Gray_Wolf
BillM Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Gotta wait until it clears, no point in fishing it when it's blow out and muddy.
solopaddler Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Depending on your species of choice you may want to check the reg's.
