moxie
Can he really do that? I doubt it . You're a better man than me. I would have asked him to help me get to my gear out to my spot.
solopaddler
Considering recent history on Simcoe I personally find it encouraging that a cop was being proactive. Guaranteed someone will need to be rescued or worse over the next 3 days.
hammercarp
From Rice Lake last Friday. Every one thinks about the ice breaking in front of you. Nasty Surprise.
Acountdeleted
I have learned through my youth, hanging out with not exactly the best crowd that if the police can't nab you for what they would like to, they are fairly good at finding something to drum up or make up. I'm not insulting all police officers as I have met a bunch of nie ones and I have 3 cousins in the force but I've found that if the police want to exhert their authority or get you to start/stop doing something they can be very prusuasive. As Chris said, there will be many more days to fish that lake.
Rich
Cops have done the same to me and my friends locally. I dont back down, screw em, roll a video camera and keep doing what you're doing. If you're doing nothing illegal and they dont get lost they're harassing you on camera.
