  1. been using these forever! Dollarama poster cases for kids artwork, love em!
  2. Excellent report. Been with Hearst more times than I can count. Try to get there every other year. Just booked Wanzatika for 2017. We did Martison last year for the first time! Yes it can get difficult but they do turn on, beauty place! We found numerous large pike once it was on. Did you get over to the other lake? We had amazing luck over there with nice chunker walleyes. Caught a great show of the nothern lights while we were there too!
  3. How do you get in there? any outfitters? I was trying to get west into the temagami lakes and can't find much info. Thanks in advance.
  4. I drive Grimsby to North East end Toronto everyday for work. I've seen things in my 35 years young that no one should see! Just sold my crotch rocket this month. Too dangerous drivin into the city with all the distracted drivers! (Bought a boat instead!)
  5. Assuming you're boating... If the ice permits you can use the public launch at the end of Collins Rd/Smith's Bay. From there boat into the narrows, 2 small bays over and you'll see the perch in the marina's. If the ice isn't open enough yet Blue Beacon has a pay launch and I know they're open. As long as you don't tie up to their docks you're usually ok to fish in the marina areas, just respect the owners! Use minnows and tight lines! Or even when they're barely biting a rapala ice fishing jig is guaranteed to get you a few with a little finesse! They might just bump it but best part is there's a hook right there! Just keep jigging. Be sure to keep one each to bring in for the daily draw. And you must register before hand... @ Trombley's, Tudhope even Blue Beacon has registration forms. Best of luck!
  6. Excellent report! I'm glad you had such an amazing trip. I have the luxury of being good friends with Mel and the family at Hearst Air and can never say enough great things about their business and this type of fishing excursion. I strongly recommend more fathers and families to do these types of fishing adventures with their children. It's what memories are made of ...and no better people to do it with than Mel, Mike and those members of Hearst Air. I wasn't sure how soon to take the boy up there but you've definitely inspired me to start making those memories. They do last a lifetime!
  7. Fisherman, I'm a regular for the festival. But not sure what you mean by the old government dock? What about the public launch @ the end of Collins drive? Is the ice out from there over to the narrows yet? thanks!
  8. Headed up to the same area this weekend for some ice fishing. Best opinion for a Walleye area? or at least some perch? Stayin on Upper Beverly but understand its only bass n pike.
  9. Great report! If you or anyone else ever wants an amazing fly-in trip try Hearst Air http://hearstair.com/ First went up as a stranger with my sister and now they are personal friends. Mel & her brother Mike will take great care of you! And I personally guarantee fish in numbers!
  10. Parking spots would be nice. ticket the people who do actually litter or partially block drive ways.
  11. It's too bad. Just when everything was looking so promising everywhere for a great early season start!
  12. Congrats on some nice fish! Always appreciate seein the pictures. Hope I can get up there this year and glad the fishery is turnin around too!
