Storm Internet (NF)

Both bell and rogers will give you a grace period to try before you buy their hub.

Sad part of all this; the state of high speed internet outside major metropolitan areas is really sad in Canada. I'm only 45 mins outside the GTA, smack dab between Orangeville and Guelph. I think we're really far behind in that respect.

You're not kidding man!!! And I thought there was a big initiative to bring highspeed to all rural areas... problem is; and you obviously know this as well, is that highspeed is deemed anything faster than dial-up. :dunno: So first we get.... XPlorenet.

I live in the big bright city, so I have gooder internet.

Ping times and download are good but upload, not so much.

Price sucks too.

77ms ping, 5.8 Meg Down and 350kb up.

My package (standard) claims download speeds to 5 Meg and upload speeds of 384Kb, so I'm getting what is promised and a bit more. :thumbsup_anim:

But it's $70/Month. :wallbash:

For $120/Month you get 50 Meg Down and 2 Meg up and 110 GB bandwidth.

That's some pretty slick quick internet there fer Yellerknife tho Dave! My buddy is coming down next month from yer big town next month and am looking forward to seeing him.

Couldn't tell ya what speed it was in MF.. although it was instant. DSL with Ontera, $48/month in 2009. Now, base rate $65 for the two sticks but usage is up'in the monthly cost to about $110 on average. Hopefully now that the wife is done school it comes down... except that our 13 year old is wanting more online time too.
