sneak_e_pete Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 All right! I finally have 2 days to myself this weekend (first all year) and am going to spend it on the lake. I really want to try and practice my drop shot technique for smallies and perch. Any tips? Fishing the east end, Mohawk Point, Port Maitland.
wormdunker Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Hey pete been told there's perch in 64 fow. We were there last week end but couldn't get any minnows. Tried worms & small plastics but no luck. Make sure u have minnows if u want Lake Erie perch. Good luck
Steve Piggott Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Sunday is looking good wind wise. Try shallow 10 to 15 FOW in the morning or if there is a good chop.Move deeper midday. 20 to 30 FOW. Tubes and Drop shot have been working well. Try jerk baits in the shallows also.I will be out all weekend to the west Mohawk Point.
bucktail Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Hit Tecumseh Reef if you can...massive reef . Hard to pick apart but its like eating an elephant.. one bite at a time. If you do email me and tell me how you did. i am just learning the area as well. Darren
