hammercarp Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 There was a pretty good turnout despite two bouts of rain. These two pictures show a good part of but not all crowd. Here's what it's all about. A father helping his son land a big one. His sister gets the net ready Heads turn in anticipation of landing the fish. The young angler waiting for the official measuring. Fish on the board and one happy kid. Two of the many volunteers that make it happen.
Fang Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Looks like a great day. Would have tried to get down but had to hang around to run baseball practices that eventually got rained out anyways. Looking forward to joining in on future get togethers,.
pics Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Couldn't make it either...working nights at the place pictured beyond the ship....Its nice to see a city that encourages fishing on the waterfront...
Rich Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Events like this, are just plain awesome! Love it!
Mike Pike Posted August 12, 2012 Report Posted August 12, 2012 Wow, that looks like a pretty nice turn out with some fish coming in to boot! Real nice. And props to Tristan and all the volunteers who made it happen. Thanks for the report Lorne.
