bigzinc10 Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 I was thinking of checking out rice lake some time this summer. I dont have a boat or anything. Are there places to fish off shore there or rent boats? Also what types of lures would be most successful for targeting bass here? If anyone has any info please advise. Thx.
belippy Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 (edited) I rent boat at gores landing, and use drop shot near the sunken railroad. there are lots of smallies. Edited August 6, 2012 by belippy
bigbuck Posted August 6, 2012 Report Posted August 6, 2012 Tons of fish in that lake. Bewdley and Gores Landing would be your best bets for boat rentals. You can fish off the Bewdley dock if you don't mind a crowd.
Stoty Posted August 7, 2012 Report Posted August 7, 2012 Tons of spots on Rice to rent boats....Bewdley, Gores landing, Harwood (Golden Beach resort) all have boat rentals. Just to name a few.

issamhay Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 honestly man just save your money and buy a used kayak or canoe for $300 off of kijiji, life savers for people who can't afford boats.
tbayboy Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 Generally your looking at about $100 a day + gas. Most wont do an hourly rental (though they may have a half day rate). I've rented from Harrison's boat works many times and they've been great but I'm sure there's other good ones as well.
GBW Posted August 15, 2012 Report Posted August 15, 2012 this weekend isn't going to be a good idea for you to go as there is a tourny there on Sat. launching from harris boat works.

Harris Boat Works - wish it was Harrison x2, great folks, use their launch whenever I fish Rice.
