Haliburton Bass

I was out last weekend, and the fish are still playing hard-to-get (or at least harder-to-get than usual). The bigger smallies seemed to want topwater baits and tubes twitched just below the surface while only the smaller ones were interested in drop-shot presentations. Fish were mainly coming from 12-20 fow on the edge of sand-weed transitions and drops to deep water. I didn't boat any giants; here's a typical fish.

I'm up at drag lake , and it's smokin hot , have tried lots of different presentations and its been slow, this morning I flicked a giant dock spider into the water off the dock and a nice bass came up and hammered it on the surface ... that was cool
