lew Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 It's always a pain trying to get rods out of the locker cause they always catch on each other, so I finally decided to catch up to the 21st century and order some sleeves for them. I contacted Phil but he didn't have any but he put me on to a guy he knows who makes them. I called the manufacturer and told him that I needed a bunch of sleeves to fit musky rods and he said it wasn't a problem and just tell him exactly what sizes I needed and he made them to custom fit each rod. He made them up, put them in the mail and I had them 2 days later. Fantastic service !! Sure is nice to be able to put them in the lockers and bring them back out without everything getting hung up. They were only $6.00 each and shipping was $9.00 total from Brampton area to my place. Not trying to SPAM here, just passing along some info on a great company to deal with. If anyones interested his website is WWW.CCRODSOCKS.COM For some reason I can't post a link Here's some of the covers. And here they are nicely tucked into the front locker. There's more in a side locker too.
Roy Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 Very nice Lew. Let's see if this link works. http://www.ccrodsocks.com/
lew Posted July 27, 2012 Author Report Posted July 27, 2012 Thanks Roy, that's the one. I can't ever get the properties for a link with Google Chrome so I usually just switch back to IE but even that wouldn't work today.
Spiel Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I'm using Google Chrome with no issues Lew, just copy and paste the url. http://ontariofishingcommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64475&pid=718208&st=0&&do=findComment&comment=718208
lew Posted July 27, 2012 Author Report Posted July 27, 2012 Thanks Chris, I've never done it that way before. I normally just copy the properties and paste but couldn't get it with that site. Guess you really can teach an old dog new tricks http://www.ccrodsocks.com/contactus.htm
solopaddler Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I've been using those sleeves for a couple of seasons Lew, I agree they're a great product.
lew Posted July 27, 2012 Author Report Posted July 27, 2012 I wish now I'd bought them years ago Mike, they'll save alot of aggravation.
Peps Posted July 27, 2012 Report Posted July 27, 2012 I agree Lew, the best way to transport your rods. Great protection and no tangled mess!!
