I was up in that area last week end and the Black flies were the worst I have ever seen them. The locals that we fish with were even complaining and they never complain about anything. Make sure you bring bug nets

How are the bugs up in the cochrane area? We are leaving thursday for our fishing trip!!

I swear by those Thermocells. I use 2 of them when camping and I found they do a great job......in a windy situation you just need to "play the wind".
