The firearm death rate in Washington, D. C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and killed in the U. Why...I've only been to DC once....but my older son is getting stationed there in May by the Air Force...so I'm sure I will be visiting many times for the next 3-4 years.
