Drock6687 Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 (edited) I was bass fishing in a local river last night when i had a massive hit, thought maybe a random pike that for some reason was swimming where it shouldnt be or maybe a turle... was using a mid water crank bait and was shocked that this guy came up to hit it.... http://i845.photobucket.com/albums/ab12/drock6687/DSCF0051.jpg Edited October 6, 2011 by Drock6687
mike rousseau Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I had a day of "steelhead" fishing in a river with cranks... 20+ suckers... 0 steelhead... I was blown away
uglyfish Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I seen a 30+lb carp in the grand river inhale a hot n tot while trolling for walleye. Had the whole bait down its throat
manitoubass2 Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I bet it felt hyyyyuge when it took the crank. These guys put up a great fight. I sometimes go stand in the rapids and cast ripple shad for them, they love those baits
Headhunter Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 Yup, I was fishing Quinte, tossing jigs up on a shallow shelf and pulling the jig down the drop off. I have one zoom at my jig from a good ten feet way, V wake and all and it hit like a freight train... thought it might be a pike until I got it to the boat and saw the mighty river hogg on my line... Oh well, it fought good! HH
Lip-ripper Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I was downrigging for trout in 65FOW and my gang troll was down half that depth and I caught one of those buggers. I still don't know how he managed to do it. Dang whistling trout!
tomO Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 I saw where a guy caught a 60lb flat head catfish on a lake about an hour north of me trolling a crank bait for walleye.
