aquaman456 Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Hey guys, just wondering if any of you guys have fished 16 mile creek before. I've been there a few times now and have only caught smallies. You guys pulling anything big out of this creek? I also drove by 14 mile creek the other day. Anyone fished there before?Looks like it could hold some fish, just wondering if anyone on OFC has ever checked it out?
mark02 Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Fish can swim up 16 Mile Creek all the way up to Kelso Conservation Area (Hwy. 401). The Creek runs through Glenn Abbey Golf Course. Spring = steelhead, summer = bass, fall = salmon. There's access at Trafalgar and Dundas, if you want to walk the creek.
bucktail Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Gets a nice run of white bass in June sometimes. Never know what you might find in may or june. Big carp as well below Speers and a few largemouths as well.
vinnimon Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I think the creeks he has mentioned are near st catherines.
dave524 Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 I know 16 mile is Oakville,14 mile? Think the other side of the lake, 20 Mile is Jordan Harbour, 12 Mile is Port Dalhousie, 14 and 16 are in the vicinity of Charles Daly Park in between, near the exit for 7th Ave Louth on the QEW.
