HTHM Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 We are involved in a situation currently where an individuals mother has passed away, this person is in the care of a another individual who is vacationing with her child. The individual who's mother passed is intelectually handicapped and cannot fly alone. Is there a program that anyone is aware of that a alternate caregiver would be able to fly out and return with the person who needs care at minimal cost? The agency that supports this person does not have the budget to carry the cost of a flight.
DRIFTER_016 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Call the airlines and see what they have to say.
HTHM Posted July 18, 2011 Author Report Posted July 18, 2011 They have a weasel clause, based on pre-exsiting medical condition within your family. Been on hold the past 35 min, I now know the entire recorded speil on the hold line....
craigdritchie Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Assuming the flight was booked with a credit card, try calling the credit card company. Many cards provide automatic insurance against this sort of thing.
