The main waterfront in North Bay is decent. PM sent.

There is a huge pier downtown near the Marina many people fish off there.Where the Chief Commanda is docked.

Sunset point off Lakeshore dr. is another spot worth trying as well.

Sunset Point is just off of Lakeshore Dr behind Churchills restaurant and the White Owl Bistro. There is alot of parking and easy access toi fish of of the rocks behind the trees. Decent boat launch too.

or you can drive an extra 20 minutes West to Sturgeon Falls and do good from shore on the Sturgeon River ... expect a mixed bag o'fish.
