splashhopper Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Dutchy and I are heading out on to long point this weekend with his new shelter. We want to peg it down and I only want to bring my cordless drill and one bit if possible. Should I bring a bit for wood or for metal? My guess is wood. One of the hut operators is taxiing us out there and don't know if they would do that, and maybe even drill some fishing holes too. I think it is Grangers that we are using for the taxi and minnows. Thanks. Splashhopper.
ch312 Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 how big of a hole are you looking to drill? the bits in the link should work well if they aren't too big. http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?D=913526&Ntt=913526&catalogId=10051&langId=-15&storeId=10051&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntx=mode+matchall&N=0&Ntk=P_PartNumber
BillM Posted February 4, 2011 Report Posted February 4, 2011 Any bit will go through ice, wood or metal really doesn't matter.
