Unbelievable.. and a great program by him and his wife. I am sure it is something we have all thought about from time to time.. Living in a simpler time, in a simpler way... very inspiring.

Saw this years ago, very cool stuff by Les and his wife. If you like his documentaries google Off the Grid with Les Stroud. It follows him designing, planning , and building a new home for his family that is almost entirely self reliant. I built a simple rain water collecting system from stuff I learned from Les.

What ever happened with his wife? She looks just as knowledgable as he.

 

Seems like it would beat the "MAN,WOMAN,WILD" show thats on now with Mykel Hawke and Ruth England
