Muskieman Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 My Brother In law has just acquired a 1998 20' Crestliner Bowrider w/ a 3.0 I4 I/O that used to have a Bow Mount Trolling Motor attached to it ,you can see the screw holes and the scarred carpet where the pedal was. He wants to replace it Now what kind of thrust should he be looking for ? 12V/24V/36V? Thanks for the help in advance!! Randy
Pigeontroller Posted August 7, 2010 Report Posted August 7, 2010 There's a Maxxum 101, 36v for sale in the classifieds right now...
SlowPoke Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 Cable or electric steer should be the first question, then determine shaft length, then find out if you have room for three batteries. If it were my boat (providing it had room for the batts), I'd pick a 36v 101 lb Terrova with iPilot and 60" shaft.
SlowPoke Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 There's a Maxxum 101, 36v for sale in the classifieds right now... It's a 42" shaft, not likely long enough for a bowrider.... more for a bass boat.
Ron Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 (edited) This one would be perfect for this boat too. Listed in the classifieds Edited August 8, 2010 by Ron
