Zib Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 I fish both Michigan & Ontario waters of Lake St. Clair & the Detroit River. I wanted to know if I had my wife on my boat but she wasn’t fishing (reading her book & getting some sun) do I need an Ontario fishing license for her? I would think she probably would need to have one but couldn’t find any info on the MNR website. Does anyone know or have a link to this info? Thanks
BillsTheBassMan Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Hey, She doesn't need a license as long as you aren't putting a rod down for her and as long as she isn't fishing. . . if she was to have a license you could put down a rod or two for her, depending on the regs of the area you are fishing. Zib Posted July 19, 2010 Author Report Posted July 19, 2010 Thanks a lot guys. Can she net my fish without a license?
alexcba Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 so long as she is not in the act of holding and casting a rod, enticing a fish to strike, setting the hook, and playing the fish, she does not need a license. she can net the fish for you tho
camillj Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Just get her a licence .. and double your chances for success
