chris.brock Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I thought it was the Kinvale restaurant, but nope, maybe it isn't there anymore, I remember hearing that the CAN record small mouth bass from Bark (or Birch Bark) Lake was mounted and displayed somewhere in Kinmount thanks, if anyone has any input
singingdog Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 It used to be up in the convenience store right next to the bridge. Hasn't been there for many years. It was a beauty.
craigdritchie Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) It was caught in Bark Lake and, yup, was hanging in the Kinmount General Store for many, many years. I hope it's still there ..... impressive looking fish .... but it was a really old old skin mount so who knows, it could have turned to dust by now. Edited July 12, 2010 by Craig_Ritchie
chris.brock Posted July 12, 2010 Author Report Posted July 12, 2010 thanks, I'll check that out, it would have been interesting to see
pics Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 The video/variety store closed so I'm not sure who would have the original. The city of Kawartha lakes has a replica even though it wasn't caught there. I would ask at the food town across the road or even the gas station....someone must know. The lake is surrounded by private property but there were never many fish in it to begin with....I believe the fish was 9 lbs 13 oz..
