Hi, Im going up north with a few friends to do some bass fishing. I know of a backwoods lake less then than an hour from where we are thats stocked with splake. Fished it in the winter and done well. Its a nice lake. may want to get away for a few hours...Think any will be biting with this heat? Any tactics that are recomended?

Where?.... fish for it as if you were fishing Specks...long line w/ harness always works up here.

In Burks falls area. You fish a worm harness...on bottom?

Randy, looks like you and I are the only ones that try our luck in the summer...

Does anyone else have any suggestions? Just wondering if they generally bite this time of year or if its a waste of time..

Thanks, CTD.. How deep would you expect them to be at? Are minnows the preffered bait?

I'd flat line a worm harness about 100ft back. Silver hammered colorado blades, red beads. Always gets them. One 1/8oz egg weight about 18" from the spinner and just let 'er troll.Gotta go real early, or stay till dark.
