Whats the best knot for tying to an anchor? Thx.

I tied my anchor on with this knot some 30 years ago, still holding.

Thats a good one Chris.I use the same.I even went as far as adding 5ft of chain to add some wieght, to make sure the anchor set good.

Seriously though, I make my own Sampson eye splices and use them on everything I can.

i just tied mine on with a bowline but i like the idea of the splice the best

Actually Brian to clarify my previous comment, I actually have that 30 year old knot tied to about 4 feet of heavy chain, the chain of course being connected to the anchor.
