Hey Guys,

I can't seem to find a wiring diagram so I can hook up 4 batteries to a 24 volt trolling motor. The 2 other batteries are to increase battery longevity, not power.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Label the batteries 1-4

Take 1 and 2 and connect negative on 1 to positive on 2

Take 3 and 4 and connect negative on 3 to positive on 4

take positive on 1 and 3 and join them with a Y cable and this is your positive lead

take negative on 2 and 4 and join them with a Y cable and this is your negative lead

Or two in parallel connected in series to two in parallel... just sayin'. Easier to charge two 12 v banks than two 24 v banks.

Older mack trucks ch series used 4 , 6 volt batteries in the same sequence to accomplish 12 volts.

Series parallel circuits.2 on each side in series then combined into a parallel circuit.Easier to charge and gain the amp hr.
