JohnF Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 yes it has a warranty but because my wife got this at HD I doubt they will fix it. they will send me to a dealer. But it should still be covered. Most of the box stores have approved service dealers locally. JF
bigfish1965 Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 John's right. HD will have an authorised repair shop for your area. Just take it to them. It is sometimes important you get any repairs done by a certified shop for the warrantee to stay valid.
GBW Posted March 5, 2010 Author Report Posted March 5, 2010 just called HD and they told me to contact another company...
Big Cliff Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 If it is in fact a fuel issue, that will not be covered under warranty, normal shop rates start at $65.00 or more per hour and most will charge you a minimum of 1/2 an hour to do an estimate. I would still try to pull that carb bowl off and see if there is water or dirt in there before you take it into a shop. BTW, if it is a warranty repair, I can still do that too.
GBW Posted March 6, 2010 Author Report Posted March 6, 2010 Thanks Cliff! I'm going to get a new plug tomorrow and if it doesn't work it's all yours when I can get a pick-up to get it to you.
