Dara Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I got it a week or so ago and finally got some pictures. First the old one. She was a good rig.
Dara Posted May 26, 2009 Author Report Posted May 26, 2009 Last weekens I took the kids out for a first trip. Needed downrigger mounting spots. I grabbed a bit of stainless steel from work and had the guys cut and bend it for me. Then took it home and marked, drilled, and polished it with an orbital sander. They came out pretty nice. I think I should scrape the green paint off the mounts from the previous boat. I didn't want to add any holes and they fit right where the cleats were so I just matched the holes. I went with 1/8 thick rather than 1/4 so I could even use the same bolts.
Joey Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Sweet!!! What an awesome rig. A nice improvement from your last one. You will definately enjoy that Sylvan. A great boat. Congrats. Joley
JohnAB Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Nice boat, congrats. I also like your downrigger mounting plate set up. Currently looking at mounting my two into my boat and your setup has given me an idea or two. Thanks.

troutologist Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Sweet ride, a buddy of mine got the same boat last fall and has been quite happy. I'll have to keep an eye out for you on the river. Get out there and get some slime on it now.
