LAKE SIMCOE ICE CONDITIONS

We drove out in the morning and condtions were fantastic witha small amount of snow for good traction--walking was good for those who walked---look at my last post for Saturday/Sunday for driving out---you might get out but not in---The ramps are taking a beating and the ice is starting the changing stage--with some mild temps--won't take long to get rotten ice-

Great stuff! I'm heading out for one last stab at Simcoe tomorrow! Hoping to catch at least one fish through the ice this year!

Cliff bring a chainsaw cut a 4 X 4 hole and voila no problem pulling the fish through the ice.

Be careful!! Like SImcobob said, you might get out in the morning but you may not get back in the afternoon off the lake. We nearly sunk our ATV today in some slushy water. Good luck fishing. The ice on the lake is still great and the fishing is too.
