plkazoo
My brothers and I are planning a week of fishing in Ontario this June. Anyone have any suggestions on good spots ..could be fly-in, but it doesn't need to be. We are not fishing experts by any stretch , so we do not know where the best places to go are. We would like to catch Bass, and Walleye . Any suggestions within 4 hours of Sault Ste Marie? Thanks,
Bernie
Welcome on plkazoo. Maybe you could try out TJ's new site. He's doing a beta test on it here. www.ontariooutfittersnetwork.com/
setomonkey
That's a big area, you'll have lots to choose from. Don't know it that well myself, but hopefully that outfitter list will help you narrow it down. Mike
Zib
I went to Pine Portage Lodge (Kaby Lake) back in Aug. 2004. We caught a lot of walleye & pike. Even my father-in-law caught a lot & he's not a fisherman. Not many trophy fish (though they are there) but you will catch a lot. They don't have any bass but do have whitefish & perch. The food at the lodge is great & the people very friendly. Our group ran the lodge out of beer in less than 3 days. dustink
I've been to a few places that fit that criteria: Five Mile Lake Lodge (drive in) Hawk Air (fly in) I've got quite a bit of info, so PM me if you'd like to chat sometime. I can give you a call some night, share some info! dk
Dave2
Farther than 4 hours (8) but you might look at Arctic Watershed Outposts out of Nakina www.awonakina.com. No bass but lots of walleye and pike, some perch. I have personal info on many lakes. E-mail me with your phone and we can talk.
