plkazoo Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 My brothers and I are planning a week of fishing in Ontario this June. Anyone have any suggestions on good spots ..could be fly-in, but it doesn't need to be. We are not fishing experts by any stretch , so we do not know where the best places to go are. We would like to catch Bass, and Walleye . Any suggestions within 4 hours of Sault Ste Marie? Thanks,
Bernie Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Welcome on plkazoo. Maybe you could try out TJ's new site. He's doing a beta test on it here. www.ontariooutfittersnetwork.com/
setomonkey Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 That's a big area, you'll have lots to choose from. Don't know it that well myself, but hopefully that outfitter list will help you narrow it down. Mike
Zib Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I went to Pine Portage Lodge (Kaby Lake) back in Aug. 2004. We caught a lot of walleye & pike. Even my father-in-law caught a lot & he's not a fisherman. Not many trophy fish (though they are there) but you will catch a lot. They don't have any bass but do have whitefish & perch. The food at the lodge is great & the people very friendly. Our group ran the lodge out of beer in less than 3 days. Here's their link: http://www.fishthefinest.com/
dustink Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 I've been to a few places that fit that criteria: Five Mile Lake Lodge (drive in) Hawk Air (fly in) I've got quite a bit of info, so PM me if you'd like to chat sometime. I can give you a call some night, share some info! dk
Dave2 Posted January 25, 2007 Report Posted January 25, 2007 Farther than 4 hours (8) but you might look at Arctic Watershed Outposts out of Nakina www.awonakina.com. No bass but lots of walleye and pike, some perch. I have personal info on many lakes. E-mail me with your phone and we can talk. [email protected] Good fishing Dave
