TennesseeGuy Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Purchase carbon credits from Mr. Albert Gore, Jr. and he gets your gold.
Roy Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 I'm already doing my share Connie. I'm helping pay down the oil companies debt by purchasing stock. When the price of gas goes up at the pump, it doesn't hurt so much. In fact, I've even been known to crack a smile over it.
TennesseeGuy Posted May 1, 2008 Author Report Posted May 1, 2008 Good move Roy. Your plan sure beats whining about prices. September 29, 2005 while driving through Minnesota heading for Red Lake I bought a little over the minimum purchase of Vanguard Energy Funds and it's returned enough for my family to buy fuel (at today's price) for seven years of driving. No law states I can't invest more. ................................or I could buy Ford, General Motors or Chrysler. Duh....
OhioFisherman Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carbon_credit Second oldest daughters boyfriend does this for a living, buys and sells the credits, makes a very good living and his name also starts with a G.
TennesseeGuy Posted May 1, 2008 Author Report Posted May 1, 2008 Good for him. Somebody wants to buy them, go for it. I'll bet a beer he hasn't sold any to you. He might make a good son-in-law.
OhioFisherman Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 LOL Connie, the beers waiting. I am still living in the 1960`s, I burned 20 bucks worth of gas last month. Heck a good son in law is one that keeps a roof over my daughters head.
