evster Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Hey, My wife and I went for a walk through a local park and crossed a stream. There were about 75 of these guys all piled in one spot. I have no clue what they are. The pics aren't that great but maybe someone can recognize them. Thanks! Evan
Musky or Specks Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Pictures arent the greatest but Im going to say white sucker.
evster Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 Oh yeah...they averaged about 8 to 10 inches I would say.

Joeytier Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 I heard they hit flies pretty good. Do they fight good? My creek's closed right now, but on the opener, if there's no bows around, I wouldnt mind a shot at some of them.
Gerritt Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 (edited) If they are 8 to 10" long.... The Muskie guys call em bait! G Edited April 22, 2008 by Gerritt
gone_fishin Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 100% definitely suckers... most creeks and rivers are loaded with them right now. they spawn at the same time as the steelhead.
outdoorguy61 Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 My granfather used to have me net them and stored in a pen by our dock many years ago in Bolsover Ont. They sure seemed to do the trick with holding fish close to our dock and bringing in the musky. outdoorguy61
Billy Bob Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 VERY hard to identify from the pic but from what other are saying I am guessing there are creek chubs (that's what they are called here) and make very fine bait for bass, pike and muskie.
