nancur373 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 I saw these floating lures on a tv ad the other day and can't remember the maker. They were a floating snake lures they were using for bass fishing. They had three colors, black, brown, and white ones. I believe they were 11" long. The guys would cast them to shore then reel back while tugging a little and it looked just like a snake swimming across the lake. Please respond if you know what I am talking about. Thanks, Curt
mikethespike Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 don't remember the show but is it this one?: http://www.naturalmotionlures.com/
nancur373 Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 Exactly the ones. Thanks. Think they would work for pike or walleye?
forrest Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 (edited) I don't know what type of fish they work on. They work OK in hooking fishermen. I can't remember a time I saw a fish go after a snake. Maybe snakes are common prey down south(?) Whats wrong with a good old Rapala or white twisty tail jig? forrest Edited April 10, 2008 by forrest
OhioFisherman Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 Do the eyes light up and blink? A flashing tail light? gimmick designed to catch fisherman. Try an 8 inch zoom lizard rigged with no weight, a lot cheaper.
mikethespike Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 still new to artificial lures but i would use the snake before i use the homer, marge or bart simpsons crankbaits
