Well i have never heaqrd of that before ????...im not sure,maybe up around the lake simcoe area,but hey its a good idea !!!!..maybe some of the lake simcoe area menbers might know,but i have never heard of that in my 20years of ice-fishing,good-luck :thumbsup_anim::clapping:

There used to be an old man on Simcoe that will drill people a hole for 2 bucks. Haven't seen him for a while though. Davey point marina(Keffers)(Simcoe) will drill you a hole for a fee, call in advance 905-476-4161, if they still do that.

Forgot the auger once :oops: and got a hut operator to drill us a couple of holes for $2 per hole...

 

My bro-in-law agrees that our minds kick into "stupid" mode when we think of fishing... :blush::lol:

Buy a manual one, they aren't that expensive and it's good exercise.

LOL, not too many holes to be drilled down in your neck of the woods is there? :lol: A drill would get awful rusty waiting for the ice to form.

Most places don't rent augers, because people used to rent them for a weekend and just go around and charge 2.00 per hole and make a killing and damage the shops augers.
