  1. Gold/Silver Williams wabbler, aka, dinner bell cheap sport..ha ha, who told you that
  2. Perfect. Next I would like to see the sentence. We had an occurence like that last year. Cocaine and guns. $500.00 fine for the cocaine. $400.00 fine for the unregistered loaded handgun hidden under his pillow. If that ain't a deterent....well....
  3. Yep Yep Yep..fiddleheads, morels and walleye, with some fried taters..all over a fire...can't wait,
  4. Of course he does. I'm about to drop a lot of coin on a toy. I don't need a piece of junk. I'm buying new because I don't want somebodys problems.
  5. Naw, I don't mean to be like that. I live in an area where half the population owns guns. All the laws we have to abide by were made in an area that has gun problems. If you bust a guy for real gun charges, lock him up. Make a few examples. There will be a lot less of a problem for the rest of us
  6. So I go back to take another look at the Princecraft yesterday. The salesman really wants to sell a boat..by talking, not dropping the price, not that i asked or anything. You give me your best price, and I'll decide from there. After I decide, maybe I'll push for a few freebies. He decides to trash the competition. He says, you know Sylvan and smokercraft and legend are all made by the same company. And, guys have been telling me that they leak. They leave metal shavings in the boats and they don't seal proper and the company won't fix em. First off, I don't need a salesman that trashes the competition. Second, he now has me wondering, so as much as I hate to do it, I gotta ask. Has anybody heard of troubles like this? Cause I am liking the Sylvan better.
  7. Thats what I was thinking...since when are they closed
  8. They never tell you if the gun was registered, and generally not what kind it was. In this case they have to splash GLOCK all over the place. It could very well have been legal. What were the charges. Not likely gun related. Or possibly the gun was locked up and a bullet was in an unlocked drawer so a charge of Unsafe storage of amunition would be in order. Hey, I'm all for busting drug dealers, but I dislike trashing guns every chance they get.
  9. I have one a them, and what you have behind it is exactly what I have to pull this weekend. I got a deer with my Ford, nuthin with the Toyota yet
  10. Looks like the dept of homeland security would be proud of you.
  11. I have a little 12v recharchable dry cell. It lasts over a week of daily fishing powering my depth finder.
  12. Its as close as I want to north. Dara who was born in Toronto and moved North
  13. If the economy was a bit better I coulda maybe helped, but then you would be stuck up north where all there is to do is fish. How do you like estimating structural steel?
  14. I would add a half decent sized williams wabler in gold/silver. I don't fish a lot of pike, but the guys that I know that do call that one the "dinner bell" for pike. I have fished with them, and it works. I wouldn't be without one for pike.
  15. All the junk you listen too, but, I'm not against trading, for 2 reasons. One, you may not get quite as much, but you save the tax so that evens things out a bit. Two, you never have somebody coming back at you saying..hey, this broke the first time I used it. sorry for the topic tangent
  16. I use the same setup as drifter A piece of 1x2 or 1x3 and a C clamp. Adjust so the transducer is below the boat and the board flush, otherwise the board sticking down makes some awfull splashback at high speeds
  17. Me either, but salesmen have a way of talking you into crap. I have a 12 year old 15 yamie with no scratches on it. It has been carried through the bush, ridden miles laying in the back of my truck...If a salesman told me I was gonna scratch it the first time I put it in the water...well...lets just say my salesman knows better than to say that to me. George, if it gets to bothering you, just go tell the guy that you have thought about the scratch and that you don't want it...I'm sure he will make things right
  18. If Superior ain't open, I guess we don't have a hope in heck of Big Basswood next weekend eh
  19. If they aren't going to fix the scratch it should at least cost them something. A nice Yamaha jacket or a spare prop would be in order. You know darn well that when you go to trade it, they will say...well, it has this scratch here.....
  20. Ummm...Yes, you do, thats why you have it My tow vehicle is 400HP, and I use that all at once too
  21. You don't need a warranty for a Yamaha
  22. Dayum...where are you to be hitting Pike like that?
  23. I'm still drilling holes in my splake lake. I would fish em with spinners and spoons though, maybe hook a minnow on. I'm real partial to red and gold or blue and silver Cleos
  24. OK, now this I gotta try Oh yeah...kinda like a worm harness...only different So you can just pull in there with the boat behind you, Muskie rods poking up with biga$$ed trebles hanging off em and say...ya, gimme a dozen of the mixed colours, or, since its cloudy today ya think black may work better?
  25. Wer'e still iced in,,,gonna have to drill for em next weekend
